Deferred intent flow can be used in such as case: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/accept-a-payment-deferred

A payment method will be collected first such as verifying ACH direct debit before creating a Payment Intent

Do you mean collecting payment details, verifying those and then submitting the payment if valid verification method is used?

For deferred intent flow (Payment Intent created later), verification_method can be set to instant only: https://docs.stripe.com/js/elements_object/create_without_intent#stripe_elements_no_intent-options-paymentMethodOptions-us_bank_account-verification_method

For normal flow (Payment Intent created first), payment_method_options.us_bank_account.verification_method can be set to instant only: https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment_intents/create#create_payment_intent-payment_method_options-us_bank_account-verification_method

By setting verification_method to instant, microdeposit option shouldn't be shown
