Hello,
Currently implementing webhook handling, but I just run into double implementations because account_id is optional on most objects.
Is there a way that we can enforce/opt in for stripe to ALWAYS return an account_id, even for objects that don't necessarily belong to a stripe connect account, but just make this more transparent, so for objects directly linked to the platform account, we also just get the same account_id everywhere?
E.g.: https://docs.stripe.com/api/events/object#event_object-account - would love to have this ALWAYS available
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
Unfortunately we don't support that at the moment. If you get an event without an accuont ID, then that object will always be for the platform account that owns the webhook endpoint. If you are pointing multiple platform account endpoints at the same URL, it may make sense to start pointing them to slightly different URLs to differentiate that more easily
or is there a way that I can "fetch" events from stripe without having to scope what account I'm doing it for? Now it seems that we need to know both event id AND account id to be able to retrieve it
Not as far as I am aware but I will double check
