@faint river in that flow you wouldn't get full billing details and you aren't guaranteed a country unfortunately. It's something we want to improve in the future but haven't built just yet. I'd recommend reaching out to our support team if you need more details: https://support.stripe.com/contact

do you have any more information as to when we would get a country and when we might not?
or why the card object might be populated with a country versus the billing_details object?

We can determine the country of the card based on the card's BIN for example. And in billing_details it's based on what they chose in PaymentElement where we collect this for card payments.
Link is different and we don't make any guarantees there for now
