๐ Welcome to your new thread!
โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.
๐ This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1235437617986670685

Are you asking if you should save custom data as metadata in Stripe?
No. I noticed there are "live balance" and "current balance" in stripe
Would this be an appropriate use of these fields to store pay-as-you-go balances? When a customer recharges their account, I just create a payment intent and store it in mongo.
Are you talking about the customer credit balance https://docs.stripe.com/billing/customer/balance ?
Yes. That's the one ๐
OK. https://docs.stripe.com/billing/customer/balance#examples maybe you want to check the use cases and see if this what you want to offer to your customer?
