Thanks for the response, I was hoping to get more clarity on the topic before contacting Stripe to have a better understanding of what to ask them but I will just contact them directly

I have a different question involving Payment links & Stripe fees that directed me to message here in this thread -

We have unique payment links set up for each connected express user that enable them to collect tips and any miscellaneous charges directly from their customers after the service has concluded using a QR. The way it is set up, our connected platform incurs the 2.9% + .30 Stripe fee on these payments and our express users receive their full amount. We want to set this up to have their customers incur the Stripe fee with their transactions. Is this possible using payment links?

If not, is there an alternative solution that allows our connected express users to quickly collect tips through our platform with the customer incurring the Stripe fee instead of our Connect platform or the Express user?

The only approach you can take to passing the fee to customers is using the calculation approach outlined above.

Good to know. Is there an option within Stripe that would allow the customer to input the payment amount for tipping while still allowing the Stripe fee to be passed onto the customer? Or are payment links the only feasible solution

#

And if not, can we continue to use payment links for this application but pass the Stripe fee onto our connected express users instead of our platform?

#

Thanks for your assistance

There's no interface we provide for this. We generally don't recommend passing fees on to customers, so we don't have any built-in support for it. If you want to do it you need to handle it on your end.

Understood. How about passing the Stripe fee onto our connected express users instead of our platform when using payment links, is this possible?
