If you want to set a Subscription to cancel at the end of the current billing period, you can update it to set cancel_at_period_end: true (https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscriptions/update#update_subscription-cancel_at_period_end)
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
@acoustic idol That's a bit more tricky. We would like to keep the subscription, but remove the subscription item from it, with a delay to the end of the subscription billing period
It this case this subscription item is an addon. For example(monthly support plan)
Overall it means that we want to see that you have this subscription item up to the end of your billing period
Ah gotcha - so you don't actually want to cancel the whole Subscription you just want to remove one of the items at the end of the current period
Correct
You can do that with Subscription Schedules - you can see a bunch of example use cases here https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/subscription-schedules/use-cases#changing-subscriptions
Thank you, I will try that tomorrow and let you know if it works for us
