Below are links to other discussions we've had with you in the past week in case you want to review that information. If your question is related to one of these previous discussions, please provide a comprehensive summary of the current state and what you need help with now. We help many users simultaneously, so a summary allows us to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

HI ๐Ÿ‘‹

What have you tried?

I'm reading through the doc for createConfirmationToken, can this confirmation token be used for all payment methods?

quiet widget
#

Hmmm.... it should but let me do a little digging in case PayPal is a special case.

#

When you say you must use client-side authentication, what do you mean?

#

Can we use a confirmation token to confirm a PayPal payment intent?
Are you attempting to finalize the payment intent on your back-end?

pearl cobalt
#

Yes

#

I just want to be sure that method will work for all payment methods

#

Finalizing the payment intent on the back-end with a confirmation token generated on the front-end.

Confirmation tokens do work with PayPal, I can confirm that. But I would still test the finalize on server workflow to be certain the behavior is what you expect.

Thanks for that! Also, unrelated but I was wondering if there were any other currency conversion support from Stripe other than adaptive pricing? I ask because I intend to use manual capture mode and on this doc, it states that you cannot use adaptive pricing if capturing manually.

https://docs.stripe.com/payments/checkout/adaptive-pricing#restrictions

Present prices in your customer's local currency with Adaptive Pricing (formerly Automatic Currency Conversion).

With that method, do I need to have all my possible products that I would sell added to the dashboard? I have a lot of products that are constantly changing so it'd be a bit difficult for me to do that.

Yes, that would require you to create all products and it would also require you to create new prices each time conversion rates changed in a meaningful way.

#

So I think that would not be a viable option for you

#

Thanks for that! I'm trying out changing the locale in the Stripe elements on the front-end to change the language. And it seems to be working for the Link payment method, but Apple Pay seems to be in english still. Is that expected with Apple Pay?

Hi there. Are you using the payment element?

#

Also how are you setting locale specifically?

pearl cobalt

I am using the Elements component and passing in locale via the options.

<Elements stripe={stripePromise} options={options} />

and the options contains locale.
