How long do you need a hold open for?
Till the user stops using the service, most likely 5-10 minutes
Oh that's a short window, so you should be good to just follow the basic "place a hold on a payment method" guide: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/place-a-hold-on-a-payment-method
I've tried this method, but there is a problem, i want to increase the held amount every iteration
So to actually reserve/hold an amount you need to confirm the intent, and when you confirm it, you cant update it
Right, so if the bank/card doesn't support incremental auths, then the only way around this is to hold a larger amount than needed and just capture what you want
Is there any other way, with for example Invoices or reccuring payments to do this?
No. It's a restriction with the bank
So there's not a way around it
You can just hold more funds than needed and under-capture
what about setup_future_usage ?
