Can you share what you're trying to achieve?
Preventing Stripe from breaking the app I'm working on. I'm building a desktop app for macOS and child iframes cause issues with the framework.
If there's a way I would like to have stripe.js not to load any iframes
๐ taking over for my colleague. Let me catch up.
I'm currently using some stripe elements but if that helps I can remove them. Any alternative would be better even if it means more work for me in terms of coding.
I think the best thing is to redirect to a Checkout Session here
and the success and cancel URLs would be deep links to your desktop app
hmm, I'm not sure if that would work well. Is there another way? I would prefer to keep users in the app.
I'm not sure if that would work well.
in what way?
I mean how will it not work well?
most desktop apps use this flow. e.g. for authentication (slack, discord, etc.), for joining calls (e.g. zoom) etc.
Because the framework I'm using might have some issues with deep links. It could work but I will have to dig deeper.
what framework are you using?
That's beta too
yes I agree
I'm using tauri v1 and I haven't worked with deep links yet but I've read some issues on github. Not saying it wouldn't work but having another approach (if possible) as a backup would be nice.
