But, yes, in any case, there's a way to add metadata to a new Subscription.

You can set the metadata field directly then.

Each webhook event carries a different type of object in its payload.
invoice.paid has the Invoice object, that has subscription_details.metadata field.
For example, customer.subscription.updated has the Subscription object itself, and metadata can be accessed direclty.
