if I understand correctly then the answer is no, right? I know there's been controversy around this lately, should I assume that there's gonna be changes?

My gut says no but really it depends on what exactly you are selling.

thanks, yes, I was looking around and failed to find a way to ask them

it's an upgrade for app usage, like, there's a free tier and then there are paid tiers that have more capabilities

yeah almost always required to use IAP as far as I know for that
