Can you elaborate, what are you trying to simulate?

I'm trying to simulate mainly network failures

Trying to undertand the better approach to handle them when they happen, make the user aware of the problem and possibly retry the connection

As an example, if I had a physical reader I could possibly disconnect the network and it would throw the error.

Yea there's no real way to simulate that unfortunately
