The failiure emails are coming through for exports requested via the dashboard. E.g. exporting balance transactions for 1 Mar - 31 Mar, I'll recieve an email an hour later saying the report generation failed.
For reports requested via the API, they're either taking an extraordinary long time to generate (hence the previously it took 2-3 minutes) - we're seeing report generation times of 3+ hours for some simple exports, or not being generated at all.
Okay, I don't know much about how report generation works internally, maybe it depends on how much data your account generates. I would suggest you to reach out to Stripe Support, they will be able to investaigate properly with respect to your account's context: https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
