đ Welcome to your new thread!
â˛ď¸ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
âąď¸ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.
đ This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1229490409298989168

@edgy torrent unfortunately no we don't surface this in the API today. It's in some ways similar to when the customer closes their bank account or card and you won't know until you attempt to charge them
nitarose_link-disconnection
So the only way to know if has been disconnected is to try and use the payment method?
at the moment yes
Do you have an example failed request I can look at? I'll use this to tie this to a feature request for your account at least internally
Sure what info do you need? The code I use to pay the invoice?
Or the response?
When the customer views their customer portal, which is a hosted portal, they can see that it is disconnected.
Do they have access to different information than we do via the api?
I really just need an exact request id req_123 where you got that exact error.
And the screenshot is from our own CustomerPortal which we own and build so we have access to the state of the Link account, we just don't surface this in the API for now
Thanks! So yeah for now there's nothing you can do to account for it unfortunately. I'll flag internally but I'd recommend flagging yourself to our support team: https://support.stripe.com/contact so that they can track it as a future improvement
Thanks for your help.
