I'm pretty sure your error is here:
const clientSecret = res.clientSecret

You should use const clientSecret = res.json();

Can you make that change and log the value of clientSecret?

Oh man, correct logic error on my part, I'm sorry. I was able to solve the problem, it was completely up to me.

Thanks for giving me the idea to check the clientSecret parameter.
