Add payment methods for what exactly?
Is this for adding payment methods for a customer for future payments, or is this for adding payment methods to pay out funds to your bank account?
With Express accounts, that's handled at the platform level
Destination charges are the recommended fund flow: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/destination-charges
Wait so i can or cant?
So payment methods live on the platform account
You can, but you shouldn't
You should use a destination charge fund flow
There's ways to accept payment without code
But this discord is for helping developers
If you're not a developer you should contact Support
No that's not how this works
Either you are or aren't a developer
We help folks with developer experience in here
If you aren't a dev, you should get help through our official support channel
So if i contact support theyll do it for me?
They'll help you
They won't do it for you
If you need someone to do it for you, you can hire a developer
So i am a Developer
Just send which link shows how to do it
Im not asking for anymore help rn and also isnt this server for developers help
and also isnt this server for developers help
it is, but you said you guess you're a developer now
Yeah i didnt say that
which means you aren't actually a dev
Here's your link though: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/accept-a-payment
Yeah I’ve developed a app before so sure
I see you guys have videos also
Is there a video?
For this
Haha why are you so mean you literally dont know me i just dont call myself a developer but I’ve developed multiple projects
Wasn't trying to be mean sorry about that
It's just we have a strict policy to only help developers
Yeah not familiar with our video series, but there likely is
They're on our youtube channel
Live demos, code walkthroughs, and interviews for developers. Learn how to build web and mobile applications to accept payments, send payouts, and manage your business online with Stripe.
Code of conduct: https://stripe.com/legal/developer-code-of-conduct
Ill check
I see every video payment method besides cashapp haha
We have a guide for that here: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/cash-app-pay if that's the only payment method you're interested in
Ok I actually understand a bit now
Also i think one last thing how does payment links work, like are they monitored
What do you mean by monitored?
Like how do they work for digital products
Ok im not making sense
Like im not seeing a lot of people use it, is it hard for digital products
Like should I Just stick to stripe express
Express and Payment Links aren't interchangeable things. Express is an account type and Payment Link is one of many ways to accept payment. You can accept payment through a payment link and route the funds to an express account. For digital products, you'd need to use webhooks to get monitored for payment successes, so that you can fulfill the orders
Ok i see thanks appreciated
Last time to make sure before i go, to add cashapp to stripe express for customers to pay with it i need to code using this for guidance https://docs.stripe.com/payments/cash-app-pay ?
Well for Express you should use destination charges, which I linked above here: #1228342876203913226 message. Which means you'd use the platform's api keys and use transfer_data to transfer to the connect account
