Hi there! Can you share the guide you're following?

#

Are you using the clientSecret to create your Elements instance?

yep

Got it. In that case, you should pass along your Elements instance when calling confirmSetup

stray hollow
#

as the second argument to the confirmSetupIntent? I might be going about this wrong I'm getting an error: "Converting circular structure to JSON"

#

am i wrong in my understanding that if you use the paymentElement you only need to provide the clientsecret to the stripe.confirmSetupIntent()

stray hollow
#

I currently have {clientSecret && ( <Elements stripe={stripePromise} options={{ clientSecret }}> {/* <PaymentElement /> */} <PaymentForm clientSecret={clientSecret} shouldSubmit={shouldSubmit} onSuccessfulSubmission={handlePaymentSuccess} onResetShouldSubmit={() => setShouldSubmit(false)} /> </Elements> )}
and then in that PaymentForm I am rendering a PaymentElement and attempting
const result = await stripe.confirmSetupIntent(clientSecret)
upon submission

I think you mean confirmSetup and not confirmSetupIntent ?

i think you're correct. I'm no longer getting that specific error. thank you.
