took a picture of what it looks like - this is the WisePOS
same thing on the s700 as well
I'm guessing there should be a break after "Add a tip on:"
Hi there ๐ offhand I don't think there is a way to change the font size on the reader, but I agree that doesn't look right and am looking to see if there's an option I'm forgetting about.
thank you
That last line with the amount (the one wrapping currently) looks like it's related to this tip-eligible amounts feature:
https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/features/collecting-tips/on-reader#tip-eligible
I'm going to poke around internally to see if this is something our teams are already aware of. While I do, would you be able to run another test using a Payment Intent with a currency of usd? I'm wondering if the wrapping you're seeing only happens for some currencies or all of them.
Yeah I can do that - give me a couple mins
Many thanks!
Gotcha, thank you for that. I'm trying to reproduce on my end too, but I'm thinking this is something I'll need to report to our teams to look into further.
I appreciate that
Sorry for the delay, still working on that.
Alright, got my reader showing tip amounts, but so far it's not showing them oversized the way you're seeing. Is this behavior that you saw arise recently? I'm testing on my WisePOS E, but skipped doing the update when I woke it up so I could dive into testing. Can you check which reader version and firmware version is installed on the reader you're testing with?

Yeah - there was a terminal update just recently
want to say like a week ago?
I don't remember seeing this before the update
version is 2.21.2.0
that's the "updater version"
firmware version is 5.00.01.26
ack thanks, we're looking
Just booted up my s700 - it's using the same version - 2.21.2.0
thanks for the extra info!
also can this UI be "scrolled"? I wonder if there's an extra button at the bottom
I don't think so
I'll double check
Yeah no it does not scroll
but I think the size of the font makes the entire screen be off a bit - you can see the "subtotal" line is cut off and the bottom "no tip" button is also cut off
I think the price wrap causes the whole screen to shift down by one line height
Thanks so yeah looks like there's a small bug on 2.21.2 at the moment and we're working on it. Sorry for the confusion here
No worries - glad you were able to check it out
If you need anything else from me let me know
Nah I think we're good and I flagged internally that you were affected so that the product team can reach out once the issue is fixed
That's perfect - appreciate the help on this
