That's not correct, you should be able to create a Subscription with charge_automatically without a default_payment_method.
Could you please share the Request ID with the error req_xxx? https://support.stripe.com/questions/finding-the-id-for-an-api-request

Is it possible create a subscription also if it required a payment istantly?

Yes, it will start immediately and give the customer some time to attach a Payment Method.

so if i understand well, if subscription doenst have a valid payment_method it woul be put in status incomplete and as soon as the payment is completed it changes to active?
