You can make use of the metadata property on the Checkout Session.
Gotcha. I was hoping there's a status for "cancelled" or "deleted" no-cost order.
We want to make sure reports have the right "count".
I understand. There's a method to expire a Session, but I doubt it works for completed ones: https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions/expire
Yup. And like u said... not working for my case.
This probably means we will likely need to implement any orders which don't require a payment on my end.
