https://docs.stripe.com/api/refunds/create#create_refund-reason yes you can specify a reason when creating a refund through API
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
Thank you for your reply. But the reason is either duplicate, fraudulent or requested_by_customer. I want to write a reason myself, as it is possible to do on the Stripe dashboard.
By selecting "Other" as a reason, we can add a note on the payment. But I can't find a way to do this through API.
Adding a custom text on refund is a dashboard only feature I'm afraid
Or you can attach the custom text as a metadata to the PaymentIntent object?
My goal was to be able to define this reason, both through this feature of the Stripe Dashboard and on the administrator dashboard of my application.
As this is not possible, I can use the metadata of PaymentIntent object to get a similar result. Thank you.
