Hello! I'm not very familiar with VAT. Can you provide more detail about exactly what you're trying to do and what's stopping you from doing that?

Basically we want to implement Stripe Invoicing. For this, we have read that there is European VAT allowed. But in germany, there is also something called "Steuernummer" which is valid only for germany. This "Steuernummer" is available for all freelancers in germany, while the european vat you need to additionally request. We want to make our onboarding as smooth as possible
So my question is, are we able to use the "Steuernumer" in stripe invoicing (within stripe connect / express accounts)
Because on the stripe tax dashboard, we were able to put in only the European vat (Umsatzsteuer Identifikationsnummer)
