What im trying to achieve, is for our merchants to connect to stripe via the onboarding flow/link, and then supply their bank details so that THEIR customers can pay them via stripe payment links

Is external account showing up in the currently due dictionary of the account's requirements property?
If it is showing up in eventually due, you will want to specify eventually due in the onboarding link
Though I remember there may be a dashboard setting for this. I will look in to that as well
