Unfortunately it is not possible to disable that without disabling Link. I will raise this as feedback for the team that develops the payment element, but it isn't possible at the moment.
Is it possible to detect that the element has defaulted to this option?
Hello btw, thanks for your help
Not as far as I am aware but let me double check the events around the payment element
Thanks
My issue is that I am trying to hide the submit button until the customer selects a payment method, but when it loads with the link option, there is nothing to select
So i need to know it has loaded like that so that I can show the submit button from load
I'm actually having trouble getting Link to show up on my payment element for once. Still looking in to this and I will consult my colleagues if I am still having trouble
Thank you
Unfortunatley it does not look like there is a way to do this with Stripe.js at the moment but I will definitely raise feedback about this
Thank you for trying.
In the change event it shows which type has been selected
you can see it is google_pay currently
I suggest maybe including this in the ready event?
But I'm not expert like you guys, just a suggestion
Thanks again
Yep, that was where I had assumed it would show up. Makes sense to me but I will also defer to our devs. thanks for the report I definitely see the value in this usecase
Cheers Pompey, have a good evening
You as well!
