You can't use a Customer created on the Connected Account on your Platform account
You would just create and use a Customer on your platform here

You handle everything on your platform and then when the Charge occurs there is a Transfer automatically created to the Connected Account

Looks like you are working with Express accounts? In which case you should use Destination Charges, yes.

Okay then you should use Standard Connected Accounts and you would have to use Direct Charges in that case.
Only way you use a Customer on a Connected Account is with Direct Charges
