Hi 👋 the short answer is that you use the ID of the Payment Method to create and confirm a Payment Intent.
I'd recomend taking a look through Step 7 of this doc. The doc focuses on saving payment methods for future usage and charging them later, and the step I'm linking to is specifically for charging the saved Payment Method later. It helps articulate about nuances like how to allow your cusotmer to complete an authentication challenge in case that's required:
