We are currently creating a new setup intent for this, the customer holds their card up to the terminal and we read the fingerprint of the card and can use it to recognize the customer. Is there an easier way than creating a new (unused) setup intent each time?

you don't have the info of the customer in your db? I mean do you have a customerID or something that you can retrieve based on their name/phone etc.?
