๐ Welcome to your new thread!
โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.
๐ This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1219384645762682981

Hello, you can either impliment your own page that collects payment method info and sets it on the customer or you can use our customer portal for a prebuilt page that customers can use to do this
can you guide me for the 2nd option (customer portal prebuilt page)?
๐ Stepping in for my teammate
Details on the customer portal are here: https://docs.stripe.com/no-code/customer-portal
You can configure the portal to allow customers to take different kinds of actions, including update their billing information and add/update payment method details: https://docs.stripe.com/customer-management/configure-portal
@still kraken looks like you're in the wrong place, this thread is for someone else's question.
- If you have your own thread please chat there.
- If you have a question or a followup to a closed thread use one of the buttons in https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/842637025524842496 to get help (we don't reopen closed threads).
Note that posting inappropriate messages in other people's threads is against the rules. No worries if this was just an honest mistake, but anyone who violates the rules multiple times will be removed from this server.
can i enable customers to enable their payment method only ( i want to avoid them to cancel subscriptions' from there or anything else because this is already implemented through the API) ?
Yes. You can disable any subscription management options. I recommend testing out the portal in test mode to get a handle on it first: https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/billing/portal
Once you've configured the portal, you can navigate to a test customer in the Dashboard and launch the customer portal as them to see what it would look like. "Open customer portal" is visible when you are viewing a specific customer, under the '...' menu on the top right
