๐ Welcome to your new thread!
โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

our customers have been using several non stripe terminal, without any issue.. with stripe terminal we keep getting such issue
Hi ๐ if you're talking about making changes to a network where a reader is running to ensure it can communicate with your point of sale, then that has to be done within the router (unless you have some sort of abstracted management for all of your routers).
It may be worth exploring a server-driven integration pattern so you don't need direct POS<->reader communication:
https://support.stripe.com/questions/terminal-server-driven-integration
Find help and support for Stripe. Our support site provides answers on all types of situations, including account information, charges and refunds, and subscriptions information. Get your questions answered and find international support for Stripe.
Can you elaborate on that?
We have a pos software and we integrated stripe terminal (server intergration)
even with server integration 1. we still have to keep both our software and terminal on same network 2. When using phone hotspot on our software and stripe terminal all works fine,as soon as we switch to normal router, it starts giving error
I'm pretty sure you don't. With a server-driven integration your POS interacts directly with the Stripe API, and the reader also interacts directly with Stripe. There isn't direct communication between the reader and the POS there.
I shared the wrong link before, I'd recommend starting here:
https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/payments/setup-integration?terminal-sdk-platform=server-driven
The thread will be closed, but yes, if there are questions after reviewing that you can create a new thread to ask those.
oh
Sorry, that link doesn't deep link to the server-driven flow, updating that momentarily updated
are you sure network doesnt play any role for server integration
and a. We dont have to. be same network? b. we can send payment intent over cloud
Yup, as long as everything can reach the Stripe service you should be set.
because we are pretty sure, we are doing server integration.. but we must be making some mistake
will check and connect again.. thanks
after reviewing, can i message you directly?
please
No, we don't accept DMs
