Why do you create a setupintent?
Really for subscription integrations, you should use our recommended flow: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/build-subscriptions?ui=elements
That's generally an unnecessary step with subscriptions
To save a payment method for renewal. Isn't the subscription supposed to be paid automatically if customer has a default pm ?
But with the flow I linked it achieves the same thing
Why would that not work for you?
The setupintent is just an extra step that's generally unnecessary
The recommended flow is you create a subscription and collect payment method details using the generated payment intent
I started using SetupIntent because that's what was used in Laravel Cashier docs. I'll try your way then.
Thank you
Yeah creating setupintent first is not recommended by us
