hi! yes you'd use webhooks to monitor that, e.g. https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/webhooks#payment-failures
ensuring it doesn't conflict with new subscribers who might also have insufficient funds
you can use https://docs.stripe.com/api/invoices/object#invoice_object-billing_reason to tell the difference
