Hi 👋 yes, you can try to reuse an existing Payment Method with a Payment Intent. Depending on the type of payment method though you may run into mandate issues or encounter problems with payments being declined.

making up an example, if all users in US are fine but EU have a chance of tripping the wire on a new 3ds verification or something
Cards are different, because they aren't as sensitive to mandates.
I'm thinking more like how charging saved Apple Pay payment methods (technically card payment methods) can lead to the payment being declined by Apple:

There are also regional considerations to keep in mind. For instance India has much more strict requirements around mandate acceptance and only charging cards within the terms of the created mandate.
