In cases where I have a subscription with two or more items, how can I ensure that only plan2 is charged during a given period, while plan1 remains unaffected? Essentially, I aim to utilize the trial_end feature for specific items within the subscription, rather than applying it to the entire subscription at once.

That's not currently supported I'm afraid. You can't apply trials on a per item basis
