Hello! We'll be with you shortly. Below are links to other discussions we've had with you in the past week in case you want to review that information. If your question is related to one of these previous discussions, please provide a comprehensive summary of the current state and what you need help with now. We help many users simultaneously, so a summary allows us to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

hi there!

#

for standards accounts you have to go through the Stripe onboarding, even in test mode.

#

Also, how can we link multiple dummy bank accounts with different currencies under single Stripe Connect account in test mode?
the simplest option is to add the bank accounts directly in the dashboard.

#

so we need to link real bank accounts? even if we want to activate this in test mode?

sick hawk

a real bank account would work yes. but it doesn't have to be a "real" one, it just need to look valid.
for example you can find some website online that let you generate valide looking bank accounts

eager lance
#

Okay, so we can have such dummy accounts in test mode, and then in the live (production) mode we can later link actual bank accounts right?

sick hawk
#

in live mode you should definitely be using real bank accounts yes

eager lance
#

yeah, but I just wanted to confirm that test mode and live mode both have different set of bank accounts

sick hawk
#

if you create a connected account in test mode, then you can only use it in test mode.

eager lance
#

ah okay, so there are different set of accounts al-together in test mode and live mode. so we need to setup these accounts differently in both the modes

#

is that correct understanding?

eager lance
#

Nope, from the Stripe dashboard

sick hawk
#

how exactly? are you using this button?

eager lance
#

this one

sick hawk
#

got it. then yes if you click on that button while in test mode, it will create a test mode account. and if you click that button in live mode, it will create a live mode account

eager lance
#

okay great. but as you said there is no alternative to avoid all those business details even in test mode as well, right?

#

Because without those details, the connect account is showing as "Restricted" and I am not able to proceed to test the payments

sick hawk

yes, you'll need to add all information required.
