Okay if you are putting the tax calculation ID in the payment intent metadata this not something that is required to process payments but is something we recommend to help you with reporting and keeping track of those tax calculations. With this ID in the metadata, if you had a question about the taxes used in a specific payment, you could look up the calculation from the API.
