hi! you can know what the fees are by looking at our pricing pages, testing in test mode and checking the exact fees for different scenarios, and then writing your own code to predict what the fee for a payment you're about to process will be.
But its still not getting right, we used 7.8 % for international currency and 2% for local currency but its still not giving perfect amount
then I invite you to share an example of a payment
Sure
For huge amount the percentage decreases but for less amount the stripe percentage increases so how to fix this percentage for both local and international currencies
ID of the payment please, not a screenshot
I don't see the issue.
https://stripe.com/in/pricing
3% for cards issued outside India
,which that card is. So that's 15.375 == 15.38 which is the fee shown
and then there is 18% Indian GST on the fee https://support.stripe.com/questions/taxes-on-stripe-fees-for-india-based-businesses
which is ₹2.76
hence the total.
What about local cards ?
For cards issued in india
But you are not getting my point, this information is get after amount deduction so user gets less amount of what he actually deposited, can i know beforehand what amount will be charged by stripe on a payment?
you can know all this beforehand
you can know that the card country is US so it's issued outside India, so you know it's 3%
Does stripe provide any functionality?
But this card was in india and still charged 3%
no, it's a US card.
the 4242424242424242 card is american
There are local cards on https://docs.stripe.com/testing#international-cards like 4000003560000008 for India.
if you integate with https://docs.stripe.com/payments/build-a-two-step-confirmation you can see the card details and the payment_method.card.country before charging.
documented on https://stripe.com/in/pricing
What about indian cards? How much does stripe charge ?
I did see this documentation I couldn’t find anything
it's right at the top of the page.
But fees is not being deducted as you are saying for example look at this payment : pi_3OmxxgSA5BDWxtkx16q2Bj8i
2% of 512.50 is 10 rs but they are deducting 15 rs
This channel is for technical integration questions only. If you have doubts about pricing I inivte you to reach out to Stripe Suppor at https://support.stripe.com/contact
Still didn’t answer my question
it's an American card
I explained above
4242424242424242 is American, so the fee is for "cards issued outside India"
hope that's clear!
Okay
Also one last question, current price for dollar is Rs 82.91 but stripe gives Rs81.1782 so is this fixed or this changes?
I strongly invite you to reach out to Stripe Support in order to understand exchange rates and pricing. This channel is for technical integration question.
