Hi there, you can collect fees from connected account through applicaiton_fee

vivid pawn
#

we dont want to collect from connected accounts

#

so basically ,we realized that the FX fee is charged at the time of transfer and deducted from our connected accounts payout

#

we want to pay for it isntead of charging them

frank comet
#

Ok, then you can jus create a transfer to send funds to the connected account to cover the FX fees

vivid pawn
#

so that basically means the FX fee is baked into the transfer creation therefore if we want to waive we would need to add the appropriate amount to cover the FX when transferring to Connected account

#

is adding to cover the fx the only way to go about this?

#

hello

๐Ÿ‘‹ from what I understand, you want to transfer a certain amount, in the connected account's currency to the connected account. For example, you want the connected account to receive CAD$100, but you have to figure out how much to transfer in USD (because that's the currency of your platform account). Is this is what you mean by covering the FX?

vivid pawn
#

well my issue was that i found out the fx fee is applied at ttransfer and deducted from the connected accounts payout

worldly flax
#

can you share in more detail what do you mean by deducted from the connected account's payout? where do you see this deduction?

vivid pawn
#

and jack said we could calculate the fx fee amount and add it to the transfer because the fx applies at transfer

#

see here, the amount currency conversion fee 1% is applied at transfer and deducted from the connected accounts payout

#

i just want to see if we can apply that fee to the platform instead of the connected accounts

worldly flax
#

can you paste that tr_ id here for me to take a look?

vivid pawn
#

tr_10k3PrEIF46gKTEiM8fqZu4I

worldly flax
#

is this a test Transfer?

vivid pawn
#

no

#

why do you say that

worldly flax
#

that's odd, we can't find that Transfer id internally

vivid pawn
#

this is the payout id

#

po_1OkGXmCitWYOY9Wg50ytYicM

#

i see the transaction

#

tr_1Ok3PrEIF46gKTEiM8fqZu4I

#

i found another one

worldly flax
#

it's alright, i was able to find it from the payout

vivid pawn
#

but need to go to transfer to see the actual fx deduction

#

so it looks liek the FX fee is baked into the transfer creation?

worldly flax
#

yep, the FX fee is baked into the transfer creation itself

vivid pawn
#

the only way is for us to add mor eto the transfer to cover the fx fee right?

#

or is there another way

worldly flax
#

the only way is for us to add mor eto the transfer to cover the fx fee right?

yep that's correct

vivid pawn
#

no other workaround?

worldly flax
#

yeah unfortunately there's no other workaround here that i know of

vivid pawn
#

icic ok

#

thank you so much for the clarification i rreally appreciate all your help
