I don't really follow your question. The link above is a Checkout Session. Where are you expecting to log in?
i have an existing stripe account for the BUYER
so BUYER has to type in all the details again?
i'm expecting to be able to login as the buyer
and stripe can fill in all the buyer's info
is that an unreasonable expectation?
Just to be clear, are you trying to charge/collect payment from a Connected account?
kbb-checkout-connect
A connected account with an id acct_123 represents the entity (individual or company) that connects to your platform for you to accept payments on their behalf. For example you're Amazon (the platform) and connected accounts would be third-party book sellers
ok
so why is "Connected" account important here?
i have an existing stripe account for the BUYER, so BUYER has to type in all the details again? i'm expecting to be able to login as the buyer and stripe can fill in all the buyer's info
i still can't link "Connected" account to what i want to do
Let's stick with my example of Amazon. You are a book seller, you have the connected account acct_123 where you entered your company's information to receive funds when you sell books to an end customer "John Doe"
Now, you, as an individual, want to buy a book from another book seller (another connected account). When that happens, Amazon doesn't "care" that you are a book seller yourself with a Stripe account. There's absolutely no link between that Stripe account and you as a "consumer" paying for a service.
So it's impossible, on Checkout, for you to "log into your Stripe account" to pay with it. You would instead enter real card details (or any other payment methods).
Does that make more sense framed this way?
no, wrong
i'm not a platform
i'm a SELLER, trying to get a BUYER (who has an existing stripe account) to pay me on my own website
your example has 3 parties, my example has only 2 parties
please don't confuse
It's impossible. No one can "pay with their Stripe account"
ok
