Hello, codename_duchess had to step out, can you give me a quick summary of where you left off?
Sure, just wondering if as a standard connect account, we could assume control over a customer's subscription that was created through a different connect account
Scenario is we are onboarding a customer from another platform, and they want to move their billing over
To clarify, are you and this other connect account under the same platform?
Typically for this you would recreate the Subscription on your new account. As in create a new subscriptions with prices and such that mirror the original.
The sticking point would be the payment method. If you are both under the same platform and that platform has the customer's payment method stored on it, they can clone the payment method down to you. Otherwise you would need to recollect the payment method details
Different platforms, we currently have a script that creates new subscriptions based on a csv they give us and references the existing cus_ID but was just wondering if there was a means to simply reassign the existing subscription over to a new platform
Unfortunately not, there isn't a way to migrate customer objects like that at the moment. So this would be a matter of creating new customers and subscriptions that match the info on the originals and then collecting the payment method info again
