Hello
The way coupon duration works is that any Invoices during the period of the coupon will have the discount applied.
So if it is a Sub that renews annually, a 4-month coupon would still apply to the first year if the Sub starts/renews during the 4-month period it is applied
As that Invoice would receive the discount.
I need to have two coupons,
- 30% discount for 3 months for Monthly users
- 50% discount for a Annual year for the next billing cycle i.e. for the next year it will be 50% off
How do I do that
So you want the 50% to both apply to the initial payment and the following renewal?
Or just the renewal?
Okay then you either want to use a Subscription Schedule so that coupon is applied upon the renewal, or you can wait until immediately after the Subscription starts and update the Subscription with a coupon that lasts 12 or 13 months so that it covers the renewal period.
why can I not apply to the next billing cycle
I'm not sure what you mean by that?
I want to update a subscription
for an annual user
wherein I can apply discount to the next billing cycle
You just apply it to the Subscription and make sure the coupon's duration covers the next billing cycle.
Like I explained above
So basically create a coupon for 12 months?
Yes
