The hosted UI should set up the external account
Are you testing this flow in testmode and the bank account form is not showing up?
Hey thanks for reaching out
We are doing everything in test mode
Going through the initial setup for connect and getting the user accounts configured, i changed a setting this morning to allow stripe to collect bank account information and started getting this error "We could not verify your information"
the workflow completely changed and i dont see the onboarding for setting up a bank account
Where exactly is the "We could not verify your information" error coming from? Is this an API request or is it on the onboarding page?
Its on the onboarding page
Hello! I'm taking over and catching up...
Can you provide more details about how the workflow completely changed? Does it go back to the previous behavior if you change the setting back?
cool np, so we are working on integrating onboarding, we started without the setting toggled on for allow stripe to collect bank account information and then we turned that on, we started getting that error from the stripe UI side.
Right, but what does "the workflow completely changed" mean?
Yo I am here, just catching up on the convo
Cryton is the main dev working on this, He can provide more details on that
ok, so we are using api to generate an account link type = account_onboarding. Prior to the toggle being changed (that was mentioned above) I was able to walk throught the onboarding process (hosted) just fine. As a matter of fact once I completed all the steps, I was able to comet back with a new link and look and edit details. Once I completed the onboarding workflow also 'charges_enabled' was then set to true.
Ok, now that the toggle was switched. The link makes me enter my email and phone number. revieve text code. And then shows me a page where I need to re enter much of the information that I did prior to the toggle. The difference it, stripe tells me that the information does not match what was provided.
Keep in mind zero code changes where made.
This is for Custom accounts, correct?
custom
Yeah, so when you enable the option to also collect an external account the onboarding process adjusts to account for that, which I believe includes more stringent identity measures, so the changes you mentioned sound expected to me.
So, the next question is how can I rectify the data discrepancy without knowing what is incorrect
