If you want to install the app on a different account to the one you're developing it on, you need to create an external test: https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-apps/test-app
You need to click into the app
ok
I'm integrated it in my WooCommerce plugin, basically, our plugin users have their own Stripe account and they copy the API keys and paste it in our plugins settings page..
What I understand from your doc is that we need to embed the install link of the app to redirect the customer to install the Stripe to their Stripe account?
am I correct?
Yes if your intention is to use the Stripe App to facilitate authentication as opposed to them sharing their API keys with you. They can install your app directly on their account via the link, and that will give your platform the provisioned access to their account
(it needs to be published in the store first)
Publish to Stripe market place is necessary??
Can't I get the app installation link once I upload the Stripe app? Then I can embed the link in my plugin page so customers can click that link install that app
So it doesn't require to publish to Stripe market place right?
Publish to Stripe market place is necessary??
Yes I believe so
Can't I get the app installation link once I upload the Stripe app? Then I can embed the link in my plugin page so customers can click that link install that app
No, only once published publicly
Okay, let me check. But before that I need to test all these things using Stripe accounts in test mode, I am a developer so I'm only used the Stripe account for these Stripe integration.
How can I test these things without activating my Stripe account?
Should be able to run an external test as I linked
ok let me check.
not found External test tab as mentioned in this doc
https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-apps/test-app
I can see this info in your doc
If you don’t see the External test tab, verify if you’ve selected public distribution from Create a release.
But when I try to change the distribution I got the error
Please activate your account to select public distribution.",
How can I test this Stripe app using my Stripe account in test mode!!I am a developer and I only need to test all these things
Hey! Taking over for my colleague. Let me catch up.
You can test your app on your own account
but if you want to use the external test, then you need to validate your account.
How can I test my app in my own account?
there is a warning indicating to activating my account
You are trying to create a realease there
You simply need to install the app in your own dashboard
using stripe apps start
this is only preview the app
