Do you mean the returning address is "W1C"?
Which wallet is this? Looks like Google Pay?
the same behaviour for both Google Pay and Apple Pay
hi! this is unfortunately just expected, it's what Google/Apple Pay return, they don't return the full address until after the payment is confirmed
we don't need the full address, we need the correct postal code set by the user. can you please read the issue again?
This specification standardizes an API to allow merchants (i.e. web
sites selling physical or digital goods) to utilize one or more payment
methods with minimal integration. User agents (e.g., browsers)
facilitate the payment flow between merchant and user.
I did read it. It's expected unfortunately — you can't get the full postal code until after the payment completes. We see this all the time, for UK postcodes you don't always get the full thing, it's just what the browser API returns to us, sorry
why this is not the behaviour for all the other countries?
this is the limitation that is why we don't support Google Pay in our Checkout product for shipping for instance, so I completely understand why it's an issue
not sure, you'd have to ask the browser vendors!
do you think would it be a right behaviour? how can we calculate shipping costs before payment if we have a wrong postal code?
