Sure. Here is the checkout screen. I've also attached the customer object being used. There's no phone number located anywhere in the customer object, yet its still trying to ask for verification during checkout...

If you log out of Link you won't see that.
This has nothing to do with Customers on your end.

Wiat sorry one more question. Confused about this whole link thing. I've cleared the link.com site settings in my browser, and all i can seem to do in checkout is hit the top right X to not use link. But it still shows 'link' with my test payment card number at the top:
Any idea whats causing it to still pop up like that?

I think you're still logged in in test mode. If you click on that green button there should be an option to sign out.

If i click the green button it shows a link sign in page, there's no log out. If i hit the 'X', it looks like it signs out but if i refresh the checkout page, it auto logs in to link again

Very weird. I did find a page on stripe that lets me delete my link account but i put in my email (being used in test mode) and its not sending an email to delete the account
The green link button has a delay so it feels like its fetching from link's server

Oh! I missed that you're prefilling an email in there. It's pulling the Link account based on that.
If you prefill an email that's associated with a Link account you'll see what you're seeing now.

Yeah, we don't send emails in test mode, so I wouldn't expect that to work for a test mode account.

Okay. One other question, i'm testing locale / checkout currency, I have auto currency conversion enabled, and i've set my browser locale to Tokyo as a test. When i get to the checkout page, the writing is in japanese, but the currency is in USD. Is there something else i need to do?

Okay, regarding the Link test mode account, you can't delete it on your end. You need to write in to Stripe support and have them delete the test mode account for you: https://support.stripe.com/contact/email
