Hello, what exactly do you click on to have turn it on? As far as I am aware, that setting shouldn't need a secondary thing to be turned on, so this may be something to look further in to with our support team, but I am happy to look in to how to do your workaround via the API
Unfortunately it looks like our API does not have a way to turn that on

I programmatically send invoices but they dont have reminders? I also think I pay more for that feature.

The description that you already gave is good. The page that I linked to has a contact support box in the lower right, you can talk to our support team through that. they will be able to check in to your account's settings and file a bug report with the right engineering team if this ends up being a bug
