@blissful wharf unfortunately that is impossible. If you have USD in your platform's balance and then want to transfer funds to a connected account, you can only transfer USD. You have no way to say "transfer exactly $100 CAD" for example.

Thanks for replying! But if I don't need the exact number, I can do it but it's hard for me to make sure the user will receive the exact amount right? Like for example it could be 500.2 or 499.3

correct

But can I know how much the user receives in another currency, after the API call? I mean can I do it this way, I'll transfer to the seller for example estimated 501 Euros, then if it turned out to be 499 after conversion, then we transfer another 1 Euro to them, if it's 501, then transfer back 1 to us. Is it something you would suggest us to do?

@sharp field is taking over for me and will follow up on that question in a bit

Thanks!

The thing that sticks out to me there is that I think there would be a currency exchange fee on each transfer there. So the small single euro transfers might end up costing more than they are worth to get the exactly right amount

I see, but for those small amount of money maybe we will transfer them from our balance instead of from the transaction. In that case do you see any problems?

Those would both behave the same currency-conversion wise. Specifying a source_transaction means that Stripe will error out if you try to transfer more funds than were collected via that payment, but transfer functionality is the same otherwise
