@toxic cairn we don't support this at all today sorry. You can add metadata to the Subscription but not the SubscriptionItems directly through Checkout

Oh ok, thank you though! If I have products on my catalogue that could either have a quantity of 1 or higher for each subscription object, and need to associate it to a particular id, would you recommend creating separate Subscriptions instead of just 1? To give you more context, the products are all subscription tiers, and my application can have multiple users under 1 account, therefore the product quantity would be 2. However, I want to save in my database each independent subscription for each user instead of just 1 subscription because 1 user may cancel his or her subscription.

I would purely store this in your database I'd say. I wouldn't do separate Subscriptions for this.
