Did you send the account through onboarding using an Account Link after you created it?
And did you input our test data to verify the account: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/testing ?

it's asking me to add "Bank account or debit card" to verify my test account, but I don't see how to do that
You don't do that as the platform
Since this is an Express account they control this themselves
They should add this during the onboarding flow
But they can update this via their Express Dashboard post-onboarding
I'm just on the test mode

I'd recommend creating a new account and going through the onboarding process via an Account Link for that new account
Then you can enter all the necessary information
