I created the app using stripe apps create foo . Then cd into foo . stripe apps upload

Hey there, the upload step isn't applicable until much later. Did everything work when running locally with stripe apps start first?

If you installed the apps plugin some time ago, you might want to ensure you update it for the latest version.

Hi, yeah, I was able to successfully run the app locally and saw the preview in the dashboard. It's just the upload step that errors out. I installed the plugins today and it looks like I'm on all the latest versions.
