I think the short answer is "no" but would like to understand the problem better.
Can you explain more about the kind of unexpected change that happened, perhaps with examples?
And what do you mean by maintenance mode? What would you expect to happen differently in such a scenario?
Thanks. This is a Wordpress site with Woocommerce and they sell subscriptions. The site is hosted on WP Engine. Sometimes during an upgrade, we need to utilize WP Engine's backsup of the site to start over due to some errors that happen after we push our code up to the site. When we restore the site using the backup on WP Engine, the site functionality starts working again, and I think some kind of an internal queue in WooCommerce kicks off a refresh of any pending transactions. Yesterday this happened 4 times and the client got charged 4 times. So I was hoping there is some kind of maintenance mode in stripe whereby we can say during a specific period of time, no transactions will go through, even if woocommerce requests them. Does that help explain the situation?
I think so, but I think you'll need to talk to WooCommerce about that. There is no such built in functionality to "disable" your live payments, short of revoking API keys or disconnecting from platforms if applicable
